2. What this policy covers

This policy covers personal data we collect through this website. It does not cover data we hold about you under a client engagement, which is governed by the agreement between us.

3. What we collect

When you complete a form on this site, we collect the information you give us. That is normally your name, your job title and your work email address. We do not ask for a telephone number.

When you use the site, we collect technical and usage information: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how you arrived, and how you move through the site. Some of this is collected through cookies and similar technologies. See our cookie policy.

If you book a call with us, the booking is handled by our scheduling provider and you give your details directly to them.

4. Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • To send you a document, report or checklist you have asked for. Our lawful basis is your consent, or performance of a step you have requested.
  • To send you our newsletter and related marketing about our services, where you have asked to receive it or where you are a business contact and we have a legitimate interest in contacting you about services relevant to your role. You can opt out at any time and every email carries an unsubscribe link.
  • To respond to enquiries and arrange meetings. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to you.
  • To understand how the site is used and improve it. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving our own website.
  • To meet our legal obligations, where those apply.

5. Who we share it with

We use third parties to run parts of this site and our marketing. Each processes personal data on our behalf, under contract.

  • Constant Contact, for email marketing, forms and contact records.
  • Google Analytics, for website analytics.
  • Microsoft Clarity, for understanding how pages are used.
  • Our website hosting and infrastructure providers.
  • Our scheduling provider, for booking calls.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

6. Where your data goes

Some of these providers are based outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on the safeguards permitted under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or an adequacy decision.

7. How long we keep it

We keep marketing contact records for as long as you remain subscribed, and for a reasonable period afterwards to honour your unsubscribe request. We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to deal with it and for our own records afterwards. We keep analytics data for the retention period set in the relevant tool.

8. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of your personal data, to have it corrected, to have it erased, to restrict how we use it, to object to our use of it including for direct marketing, and to receive it in a portable form. 9. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. Our ICO registration number is CSN8650980.

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
